Currently ranked #10 on the list of "Top 10 Beaches in America" by Dr. Stephen Leatherman, aka 'Dr. Beach.' The park is home of the oldest standing structure in Miami-Dade County, a historic lighthouse build in 1825. Built to serve as an important link of navigational aids' network. Guided tours of the lighthouse and lighthouse keeper´s cottage are available.

Cape Florida's 1.25 miles of natural beach is famous with its gorgeous sand and very gentle waves, thanks to the wide offshore reef.
